Santiago Lopez Petit

Santiago López Petit (Barcelona 1950). Militant of Workers’ Autonomy during the 1970s, he worked for years as a chemist. He joined several of the resistance movements that followed the crisis of the Workers’ Movement.

He currently works as a lecturer in the Universidad de Barcelona, as well as working with the Fundación Espai en Blanc. Among his books: Entre el Ser y el Poder. Una apuesta por el querer vivir (re-issue Madrid 2009); Horror Vacui. La Travesía de la Noche del Siglo (Madrid 1996), El infinito y la nada. El querer vivir como desafío (Barcelona 2003), Amar y pensar. El odio del querer vivir (Barcelona 2005). La movilización global. Breve tratado para atacar la realidad (Madrid 2009).

He also collaborated to a number of different collective books and to magazines such as El Viejo Topo, Archipiélago, Riff Raff and Futur Antérieur. His work has been translated in several languages.
