Toby (Brighton, 1988) currently works at a major public archive and is based in London. He attended Goldsmiths as an undergraduate where he read anthropology, and remains at the college as a postgraduate research student examining the political economy of the creative industries. Toby previously edited the ‘Theory and methods’ and ‘Advocacy’ sections of Imponderabilia, an international student anthropology journal, and has written for various digital and print publications in a range of styles, academic and creative. He is also currently working on lost subject(s), a project exploring the contemporary conditions of subjectivity, creativity, expression and experience in relation to capital and power, alongside the possible role of a radically negative anthropology in giving rise to alternative forms-of-life. |
